This will be the 32nd year that the “Greatest Fourth in the North” has had a beach volleyball tournament and the thirteenth year for the Terry Thompson Memorial Beach Volleyball Tournament. That’s because over 30 years ago Terry Thompson and others were the founders and directors of this tournament. Terry was also at one time the Lake City High School volleyball coach, a teacher, the upper elementary principal, a referee, and the Lake City High School athletic director. Terry passed away January 10, 2004 after a long battle with cancer. Proceeds from this tournament will go to the Terry Thompson Scholarship Fund. We hope you join us in honoring him by participating in the fun. You can sign up for Co-Ed 4 Person, or Co-Ed 6 Person. The cost is $40 per team if pre-registered, $50 on day of tournament. Winners of each division will receive a medal. Even if you are pre-registered, you must check in with the tournament director at 9:00a.m. Game time will begin at 10 a.m. at the Missaukee County Park beach.
